For a couple of weeks now I have been receiving continuous emails notifying me that my PayPal account has been limited and also getting other related emails stating that I should review my PayPal account but the gospel truth is that I have been ignoring these mails not that am been ignorant but because I know pretty well that this is pure scam message with intentions of hail jacking my account .
I usually shake my head when I get emails promising me things that I never bargained for like someone will send me an email promising me that he has some certain millions of dollars he/she’d like to share with me. Common, how would someone in his or her right senses wanna share some high amount of money with someone she knows absolutely nothing about? Some even go as pretending to be genuine by using name of banks or officials in a bank so that they could convince more people but Personally for me, those tricks can’t work on me because I do believe that only greedy people do fall for this hypes, I mean why would you even think of reaping from where you never sole?
Now back to the PayPal matter, here is the latest message I just received recarding my account.

Account Review Department
That’s the latest email from the so-called PayPal Account Review Department which is a total scam and guess that, the embedded link where its stated that I log into my paypal account is actually a different address with the fake paypal website used, see the screenshot below:
Did you take note of the url address in the screenshot? Moreover, the front page design is different from the real paypal official website front page as shown below:
Furthermore, here is a copy of the previous message I have been getting from these scammers:
The email has got the subject: Your PayPal Account has been limited until we hear from you and the message reads thus:
We need your help
We need your help resolving an issue with your account. To give us time to
work together on this, we’ve temporarily limited what you can do with your
account until the issue is resolved.
We understand it may be frustrating not to have full access to your
account. We want to work with you to get your account back to normal as
quickly as possible.
What’s the problem?
We need a little bit more information about you to help confirm your
Case ID Number: PP-503-472-200
How you can help
Download The Attachment and Confirm Your Account
A typical message from PayPal will have your name addressed in it, for example ‘Dear Samuel or Hello Samuel‘ but in this case, the writer only used ‘Dear Customer‘ which means they do not know who owns the account hence they resolved to using dear customer which is general.
More so, upon downloading the attachment and trying to open the file, its in a zip format and an error pops up that the file isn’t safe to open because its in .htm hence i just close the file and don’t bother proceeding.
Do I Truly Have A PayPal Account With That Email Address?
Yes I do but the account is really not a verified account more so, upon logging into my account from the official PayPal website which is www.paypal.com, my account does not currently have any problems.
Summary: My Esteemed readers, the basic reason for bringing up this post is actually to warn against falling for this trap, this is obviously a way of hail jacking people’s PayPal account and transferring all the funds in it.
I would advice that you should be careful of where you log into your account, always be watchful of the address you are before logging into your account, as you know the official paypal website address is www.paypal.com hence if you log in there, you should get a message if your account has any issues.
Please be warned of this scam messages that is currently targeted at paypal account owners and do inform your friends too by using the share buttons.
