Although, This isn’t the first time Google will be launching an android one phone as the first batch (shown below) didn’t really make much success in India. This was as a result of the fact that, the device wasn’t available in retail stores.
This time around, Google has teamed up with Lava, an Indian phone brand, in other to set the cards right. The search giant is also making sure that the device will be available via every available channel and that includes online shopping retail shops.
The device is said to sell for about $190 and will run on a MediaTek SoC processor. It will be packing a RAM size of 2GB as well as 5-inch display.
The device will be launched on the 14th of July, 2015 and will be kicking off in India. With the Android One Phone, you should be able to update the software as well as security updates directly just like it is done on the Nexus Devices.
