Tecno Launches Boom J5 Android Phone Running Android Lollipop OS

I think it’s high time I have a round table discussion with mobile producing companies operating in Nigeria (just kidding o). But seriously, the rate at which some of these brands release phones is quite alarming.

Just within a month,we have seen Tecno release about 3 different devices. The Tecno Camon C5, Camon C8 and now, Tecno Boom J5. All in less than a month. Previous months, we witnessed Tecno Y series. The Boom J7 was released sometime in April this year and now, there’s a Boom J5.

Anyway, the frequency at which these brands release phones is not really my business. My business is just to come here and give every valid information I can give so that readers (you) can be updated.

Just like the model number implies, the Boom J5 is a younger brother to the J7. However, the Tecno Boom J5 comes with android lollipop OS out of the box while the boom J7 runs on android KitKat.

In an era where we hope to see technological improvement when it comes to RAM size phones run on as well as battery capacity, Tecno decides to take us back by providing more devices that tend to still run on RAM size of 1GB and a battery capacity of 1950mAh. The Boom J7 on the other hand, runs on same 1GB RAM but with a battery capacity of 2020mAh. The J5 spots a 5MP back camera and 2MP front camera with an internal storage capacity of 16GB which can be extended to 32GB using a microSD card.
