It’s been quite some time since we heard or got any update for blackberry 10 phones. Few hours back, blackberry rolled out OS 10.3.2.2474 to multiple regions and devices. If you are yet to get any software update notification on your bb10 phone, you can try force loading or wait till you get a software notification.
If you intend force loading, go to settings on your phone and scroll down till you get to software updates. Tap on check updates and hopefully, the new update should pop up.
Please do keep in mind that a WiFi network is required in downloading the update as in most cases, mobile network on the phone don’t tend to work.
Update size varies as we have seen different sizes on different BB10 devices. Luckily, if you have been running on the most recent OS update which is 10.3.1.1779, the new update size shouldn’t be more than 500MB. However, if you are running on a rather old BB10 OS, update size could be over 1GB.
According to the new software description, the update brings new look and features to the blackberry blend app, anti-theft protection feature added into blackberry protect, improvements to the camera as well as the calendar and more.
We can only hope this doesn’t come with any bug issues but rather, improvements to the blackberry 10 devices. Please feel free to report any issues (if any) using the comment session and hopefully, we’d be able to help.
