There is a Windows event coming up tomorrow, 6th October, and it is expected that the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will be announced.
The Surface Pro 4 is said to have a 12-inch display and feature the Intel Skylake Core M chip. Skylake processors are integrated with Intel’s Iris and Iris Pro graphics that will allow for better graphics. They are said to deliver faster processor speed and longer battery life. Intel’s Skylake processor is integrated with new memory improvements that would increase 3D gaming performance by up to 50%. Skylake chips will also let users wake the Surface Pro 4 by yelling at Cortana.
It has also been speculated that there will be a 14-inch version with a 4K Ultra HD display. This version is said to be a high-end model and will boast up to 16GB of RAM.
The Surface Pro 4 will definitely come preloaded with Windows 10 and it is likely that it will arrive with new accessories, especially after Microsoft’s acquisition of N-Trig, the company behind the popular Surface Pen. The Stylus Pen will have a major role to play in the success of the Surface Pro 4 since Windows 10 has handwriting functionality embedded in it, and since Microsoft’s new Edge browser will also include handwriting functionality.
Aside from the Surface Pro 4, Microsoft will also announce new members of the Lumia family; Lumia 950 and a larger Lumia 950XL.
The event is tomorrow, and we cannot wait for Microsoft to sweep us off our feet.
