It’s been a year since the Galaxy A series was introduced to the public, offering smartphone users the opportunity to purchase mid-range devices built with premium materials. And now, it seems Samsung plans on adding upgraded versions of the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 to the mix.
According to Zauba, an Indian website that specializes in listing products shipped into and out of India, Samsung has shipped new devices with the model number SM-A310F and SM-A510F into India for testing. The Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 were given the model numbers SM-A300F and SM-A500F respectively, so it can only mean these new Samsung devices are upgraded versions of the A3 and A5.
In addition to this information, the website also listed the screen sizes of the new devices. The SM-A310F boasts of a 4.75-inch display, slightly bigger than the Galaxy A3’s 4.5-inch display. The SM-510F on the other hand boasts of a 5.2-inch display, 0.2 inches larger than the Galaxy A5’s 5-inch screen.
It is still unknown when the devices will be released, but considering the fact that the A series was launched in October last year, the launch of this new devices might not be far away.
