Up until Q3 2015, Xiaomi sat firmly in first place as the top smartphone manufacturer in China. Now though, Xiaomi has been dethroned by Huawei and now sits calmly in second place, while Huawei rests firmly at the top. The reason for this slip is Xiaomi is looking to expand its reach to other countries of the world, causing the popular Chinese OEM to slow down in its home country.
But this hasn’t stopped Xiaomi from pressing forward. Xiaomi is planning to release its newest device, the Redmi 2 Pro. The device boast of a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device runs on a Snapdragon 410 processor, with 2 GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage. There is also an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 2-megapixel selfie camera.
No further informations is currently available, but the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Pro has been certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and will likely be announced soon.
