Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow now rolling out on Android One phones by Google

Months after Google officially unveiled the android 6.0 marshmallow OS which is currently running on most nexus phones, android one phones and a few others, Google is rolling out android 6.0.1.

For now, the android 6.0.1 update is available only on android one smartphones and the Cherry Mobile G1 (a device that’s available in the Philippines) is being reported as the first smartphone to receive the android 6.0.1 update.

No, this isn’t the monthly Google security updates and that for November as already been received, it’s seen as a minor update as no clear indication so far as to what is new.

News also has it that Google is planning to roll out Android 6.1 which might be seen as a major update but don’t expect that soon. Perhaps, early next year.

P.S : We are still waiting for the android 6.0 marshmallow update on the Infinix Hot 2 which is Google’s first android one smartphone in Africa.
