Sometime in October, we talked on Pepsi launching a smartphone soon. Apparently, this has come to limelight as the Pepsi P1 smartphone is now available in China and it’s priced at $110.
Considering the specs and price of the smartphone, it wouldn’t be totally out of place to categorize the smartphone as a mid-range handset.
The Pepsi P1 sports a 5.5inch Full HD display with 2.5D glass, powered by a 1.7 GHz MediaTek MT6592 processor with 2 GB of RAM. Talking about the design, the device uses an aluminum unibody Chassis with fingerprint scanner at the back of the device. The device comes out of the box with a storage capacity of 16 GB which can be expended using Micro-SD Card.
Although the smartphone runs based on android 5.1 lollipop under the hood, it runs on a customized operating system referred as Dido OS.
Talking about camera, the handset sports a 13 megapixels back camera with F/2.0 aperture and 1/3.06 inch sensor size. At the front, the smartphone sports a 5 megapixels front facing camera. The Pepsi P1 packs a 3000mAh battery, dual SIM slots with support for LTE connectivity.
Although the phone is currently selling in China for $110, the price is subject to change after hitting a number of 1000 users.
