Android phones lately are becoming more affordable and to me, affordability depends on quality. Some time back, we talked on the UMi ROME which features really cool specs with a metallic chassis design giving it a premium look and only sells for around $89. The UMi ROME is actually now on pre-order on the UMi website for $89 and when the smartphone is available on sales, it will be sold at slightly above $100.
Now, what do you think of a phone priced at around N2000? A java phone? Can’t really surf the web or do some of the stuffs sophisticated phones can? Well, the Tracfone LG Prepaid Lucky LG16 might just be the cheapest android phone we’ve heard of in a while now based on the specs.
Here is a breakdown of the Tracfone LG Prepaid Lucky LG16 specs:
- 3.8″ touchscreen display
- Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS
- 1.2GHz dual processor
- 3 megapixel camera/video recorder
- 3G/WiFi capable
- 4GB microSD card (included in phone)
- Bluetooth v4.0 wireless technology
- Access to over 1,000,000 apps and more on Google Play
- Supports microSD memory card up to 32GB (not included)
- MP3 player
- Proximity sensor
- Talk Time: up to 7 h
- Standby Time: up to 9.9 days
At just about $10, the phone is really okay. If you were expecting something more sophisticated for that price, you may want to go back to bed and continue dreaming lol. Considering the specs, you shouldn’t be expecting a cool camera neither should you be looking forward to a sleek design. Just something that can allow you enjoy the ‘basic’ benefits in using an android phone.
