When it comes to news on 4G LTE network in Nigeria, we had a couple of them in 2015. Apart from the fact that infinix launched it’s first 4G LTE phone in Nigeria which is the 2GB version of the infinix note 2 (phone isn’t still available in the market yet), we are yet to see the promised NTEL 4G LTE connectivity service with 0804 sims which was announced in November 2015, come to limelight.

MTN launched 4G LTE connectivity in Cameroon

Well, MTN just launched it’s first 4G LTE network connection in Cameroon and this was done on the 17th of December, 2015.

On the 18th of December, 2015, the initial service roll out covered Yaoundé, Douala, Bamenda and Buea as early users in Yaoundé has started reporting download speed of almost 70 Mbps.

With the 4G LTE service launched in Cameroon by MTN, it will really be nice to have the service launched in Nigeria. Perhaps, maybe this year 2016 or year after.
