Over the years since Instagram has been in existence, users can post videos of about 15 seconds. While that time frame was very short (I complained too), it gave room for video creators to be more creative in passing across their message within 15 seconds.
Although the feature has been opened to advertisers since months back, Instagram via it’s blog, has announced that they will be extending the time limit on videos from 15 seconds to 60 seconds which in my opinion, is a welcomed development. However, this might not come as a pleasing news if you are on a limited data plan.
We want to bring you fun, flexible and creative ways to create and watch video on Instagram. As part of our continued commitment, you’ll soon have the flexibility to tell your story in up to 60 seconds of video. This is one step of many you’ll see this year.
Users who use iOS devices in accessing the platform are going to be getting more than the new 60 seconds video limit. The ability to make videos out of multiple clips from your camera roll will be reinstated.
Although the new features has already begin rolling out, it might take a while before it appears on your platform. Just be patient if you haven’t seen the change yet, it will come.
iOS users would have to update the app to it’s current latest version which is version 7.19 in the Apple’s App Store in other to get the multi-clip video feature rolling. Good news right?
