Want to Snap Weird Selfie Shots? Check Out The MSQRD App For iOS and Android

While the MSQRD app has been around for quite sometime now, Facebook’s CEO, Mark Zurberverg, officially unveiled it via a video on Facebook while using the iron man mask filter.

Basically, the MSQRD app is a face swapping app recently acquired by Facebook and it’s available on android and iOS platforms. Initially, the beta was made available on the 8th of March but that has been updated. Hence, android and iOS users can shot more weird selfies and videos.

Using the app, there are quite a number of face swap filters to choose from. Although they ain’t so much, they can be very handy.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the Iron Man Mask filter even on the iOS platform. I am hoping that would be included in the next update.

The app automatically captures your face and then swap your face with any of the chosen filters. Even when you make some minor face adjustments, the face swap app still follows.

Interestingly, you can also make videos using the face swapping filters and it will be saved to your phone. You can however, share your shot pictures or videos to social networks directly from the app if you want to.
