If you are an iPhone user and you actually wish you had an Android phone, you have a close call as a case is available which tend to give u a feel of both world. The case basically allows your iPhone to run Android OS.
Of course, this isn’t the first time we’d see an iPhone run Android Operating system via a case. Tendigi’s developer, Nick lee recently built a custom case with an enclosed circuit board running an adapted version of Android marshmallow via a custom-built app thereby allowing an iPhone boot and run Android.
But, Nick Lee has no intention of making the case commercially available. Hence, another Chinese player, Haimawan, is offering it’s new case known as MESUIT exclusively for sale in China.
MESUIT is somewhat similar to Nick Lee’s case and thus, allows a proprietary Android based system, Mesuit OS 1.0, to run as an app within iOS on the iPhone 6s, 6s Plus as well as the older 6 and 6 Plus.
The MESUIT case comes with some add-ons like an external battery, internal storage and a Nano SIM slot compatible with Android use. However, no SD card, HDMI or full sized USB ports as seen on Lee’s version.
The MESUIT case is currently only available on China and there are no talks as to whether or not the case will be available to other regions.
Price wise, the case is going for $150 and $165 for the iPhone 6, 6s and iPhone 6 Plus, 6s Plus respectively.
Haimawan also mentioned that he is currently working on developing a case that will allow Android devices to run iOS and will be unveiled next year.
