Couple of weeks back, Google asked the public to give a name for its Android N OS which is likely Android 7.0.
Of course, there were lots of suggestions and I think the most prominent were Nutella, Neyyappam amongst others. Well, Google has officially unveiled a name for Android N and it’s probably nothing you thought of. Google calls Android N, Android Nougat.
Although, looking through the list of suggested names, Nougat was one of the top but didn’t have the biggest following and as I can rightly guess, you didn’t know it was gonna be called Nougat. Abi?
Google also went ahead to unwrap a statue for Android Nougat and most people feel Google was being lazy with the design.
Google has confirmed that the new version is Android 7.0 Nougat and not 6.1 as it is a major update that deserves a new number. However, there’s still no word as to when the new version will be launched despite the developers preview version being around since march.
So guys, Google’s Android new version is named Nougat and not Nutella as most of you predicted. BTW, who else thinks Google gave Android N their own name and not what the public guessed?
