It was sometime last year, Xiaomi started talking on plans to launching it’s first laptop. That has finally come to limelight and guess what, the Xiaomi Notebook Air looks very much like Apple’s MacBook in terms of design.
Not only was the design copied, Xiaomi added a bit of the MacBook acronym to it’s own laptop. Apple’s device is called MacBook Air while Xiaomi’s device is called Notebook Air. You see?
While both devices look identical, Xiaomi did some little adjustments. The Xiaomi Notebook Air is said to be 13% thinner than the MacBook and also 11% smaller.
Another difference is the price. Apple devices are known for being expensive and the MacBook isn’t an exception. Xiaomi’s Notebook Air on the other hand, is more adorable and starts at a retail price of $525.
The Xiaomi Notebook is available in two variants; a 13.3inch display and 12.5 inch display models. Both runs windows 10 home, features 1080p display, 1 MP lens webcam, back-lit keyboard and USB Type-C charging port.
The 13.3inch version of the Xiaomi Notebook Air features the following specs:

- NVIDIA GeForce 940MX GPU (with 1GB GDDR5 RAM).
- 8GB of DDR4 RAM, 256GB of SSD
- One free SATA slot for expansion.
- 9.5 hours battery life.
- Around $750.
While the 12.5inch version features the following specs:
- Intel Core M3 CPU.
- 4GB of RAM, 128GB SSD via SATA
- One USB 3.0 port.
- 11.5 hours of battery life.
- Around $525.
Regarding availability, the device is currently launched in China and so far, there hasn’t been news as to whether or not, the Xiaomi Notebook Air will be available in other countries.
