Opera has finally decided to bring it’s unlimited free VPN service to Android. Of course, Opera’s VPN isn’t entirely new, it’s been around for a while.
Opera’s VPN is powered by SurfEasy. Opera acquired SurfEasy last year which thus, gave birth to the company’s relatively new free VPN service.
Essentially, the separate app allows you mast your device location to any set location of your choice. Currently, users can only choose either Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Singapore, or the United States.
Of course, Opera inserts Ads as a means of generating revenue. More so, opera wants to share anonymous data about your mobile usage and browsing habits with third parties.
If you are curious to knowing what data, Opera exactly collects using it’s free VPN service, below is what the company says in that regards:
“This information is made available to third parties who are interested in better understanding the mobile ecosystem and how it’s evolving. It’s important to understand that this is not data about what you do with your phone, but rather this is data about how a large group of people use their phones.”
If that’s fine by you and you still want to explore using the Opera free VPN service, you can go ahead and download the app from Google Play Store using the button below.
