The 2nd batch of 2015 Election Result collation in Nigeria started off with Elder Peter Godsday Orubebe trying to disrupt the event stating that the INEC Chairman, Professor Jega, was taking sides with APC. The event actually took occurrence, yesterday the 31st of March, 2014 and it raised so many accusations. Moreover, Professor Jega handled the case in a way i would describe as ‘Professional’ and i commend him for that.

The Controversy has been updated on Elder Peter Godsday Orubebe’s Wikipedia profile page and the update reads thus:

On tuesday, 31st of March, 2015, Orubebe, acting as a polling agent for the PDP, made attempts at disrupting the proceedings of the 2015 presidential election collation. Orubebe, a former Minister of the Niger Delta Affairs, alleged that INEC Chairman, Attahiru Jega, had taken side with the rival APC. He said; “You sent a committee to Rivers to probe what happened there. We submitted petitions to you about Kano, Jigawa, Katsina but you have not done anything about our complaints. You cannot continue with these results; we will not take it.”

As Jega attempted to go on, Orubebe shouted, “Mr. Jega, You cannot continue, go to your office. You are partial. We don’t have any confidence in you. We will not allow this. You cannot continue. You must stop the results.

During the cause of the accusations from Elder Orubebe, Professor Jega wasn’t really given a chance to speak and so, he kept quite till Orubebe was done with his accusations. He then explained the situation and urged Orubebe to be conscious of his public conduct. Elder Peter Orubebe however apologized stating that he was actually pushed to the wall.

Please share, it doesn't hurt... :)
