Microsoft has finally introduced its first laptop, the Surface Book which it says is two times faster than Apple’s MacBook Pro. The laptop has a 13.5-inch display with a resolution of 3000 x 2000 pixels, which places pixel density at 267 pixels per inch. Not only does the screen support touch, you can write on it with a Surface Pen.

The Surface Book is an innovative move from Microsoft and they have claimed that their new laptop is “the most powerful laptop on the planet.”

One interesting thing about the device is it has a detachable display that can even be attached backwards. There’s a quirky hinge that has a flexible dynamic fulcrum design, and it attaches the display to the keyboard.

At the front of this device is a 5-megapixel camera which supports Windows Hello face-authentication, and an 8-megapixel camera is slapped at the rear. The Surface Book comes in a number of variants, each with different processors (Intel Core i5 and Intel Core i7), varying RAM (8GB RAM and 16GB RAM) and storage space (128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB).

  • This is a really nice device by Microsoft.. It’s more like a tab and laptop fused together.. As per it’s their first laptop again, it’s all you can ask for in a laptop.. It’s expensive tho but the feature and d price are a perfect match

    • The price tag of $1499 (starting) for a Nigerian can be quite expensive o. We know the laptop is worth the price tag but they should have been considerate lol.

  • Microsoft did Put a lot of effort to make “The Best Laptop On Earth” The Specifications are very Interesting. About The Price, It’s really Expensive but it’s worth every Cent & KoBo I’ll consider Buying When the Price has been slashed to $500 Or below 🙂

  • @Richard,its almost 300k, I don’t think they will want to bring the price to anything below 200-250k in three months time which is still on d high side.. D price can even increase depending on how the product is patronized
