Samsung is reportedly working on a massive 18.4 inches tablet, the Galaxy View, to rival other tablets. The device was first hinted during the IFA event in Berlin last month. Based on the information Samsung provided, the Galaxy View will feature an 18.4-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Although no other specifications were revealed, there have been rumors surrounding the device. The Galaxy View tablet is rumoured to run on Samsung’s very own Exynos 7580 processor with 2GB of RAM. Internal storage will be pegged at 32GB expandable to 128GB through a microSD card. The tablet is said run on Android Lollipop out-of-the-box, but with the recent launch of Marshmallow, it is likely that it would run on Android 6.0 instead. The rumours also say there will be an 8-megapixel camera at the back of the device and a 2.1 front-facing camera. There also appears to be a pair of stereo speakers at the back of the device. And underneath the hood of the device is a rumoured 5700mAh battery.
Samsung has also said the device will come with an integrated stand so users can find it easy use the large screen.
Although Samsung has been pretty mum about the device, the South Korean giant has promised it would give a closer look at the Samsung Galaxy View in October 2015.
