Still on the android 6.0 flavor, despite HTC being the first to release its list of devices getting the update and Motorola following suit and Samsung currently in works to getting the new update available on it’s latest flagship devices, LG is perhaps, going to be the first manufacturer to get the update outside the nexus family.
This announcement was made by LG in a press release where it was said that the manufacturer is looking at making the android 6.0 marshmallow release available for the LG G4 by next week.
According to the company, the update will be rolling out slowly with Poland users being the first which is equal to the case of when the android 5.0 lollipop was newly launched. Afterwards, other markets in Europe, Asia and the Americas will follow. However, no specified date has been set neither is there a timing.
In the press release, vice president and head of marketing communications for LG Mobile Communications company, Chris Yie, said:
By working closely with Google, LG has been able to bring Android 6.0 to the G4 ahead of any of our competitors. While speed alone isn’t an indicator of great service, it does go a long way toward giving consumers the confidence that LG is committed to its existing customers first.
According to the brand, other regions getting the new update will be announced during the course of the new upgrade being rolled out. More so, no information in regards any added significant features was been announced. Perhaps it could just be that users will be getting the stock Marshmallow OS which i am pretty much not sure of.
