Day in, Day out, Chinese smartphone manufacturers are making android devices crazily cheap. Not only are smartphones more affordable lately, they come packed with some really nice specs.
Upcoming smartphone from UMi packs a 3 gig of RAM amongst other cool specs for just $90. If wanting to know the equivalent in Naira, that’s around N18,000+ (Depending on your bank’s dollar rate).
Upcoming smartphone from the brand is referred to as the UMi ROME and although unconfirmed, the device seems to have a metal frame design around it’s 7.9mm chassis and it also has some resemblance with the Xiaomi Note Pro and Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
The handset is a 5.5 inch smartphone with Amoled display resolution of 730 × 1280 with a pixel density of 267 PPI (Pixels Per Inch). Underneath the design and display, the UMi ROME packs a 64 bit, Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 processor with ARM Mali T-720 GPU and a RAM size of 3GB.
In terms of internal storage, the smartphone packs a 16GB storage capacity and there has been no word on whether or not the storage capacity can be expanded using an SD Card. In terms of camera, the device sports a 13 megapixels Sony IMX164 sensor with dual LED flash at the back and a 2 megapixels front facing camera. The smartphone is powered by Android 5.1 lollipop OS with a battery capacity of 2,500mAh.
What’s more interesting is that the UMi ROME with the specs above, will be selling for just around $90 and based on press release from the brand, the ROME will likely be released Next Month.
