When it comes to the widely recognised third party keyboard app on android and iOS platforms, SwiftKey is known as one of the most popular.
While an update was recently rolled out on the app which showcased a new set of emojis available on Marshmallow OS, it is interesting to note that the company has been acquired by Microsoft.
While the Redmond company, Microsoft, already has quite a number of apps on it’s portfolio, the famous SwiftKey keyboard app (currently installed on over 300 million devices) is it’s latest addition.
It’d be worthy to note that Microsoft currently owns a keyboard app known as WordFlow which is exclusively available on Windows Phone. However, latest reports has it that the app would be finding it’s way to android and iOS platforms soon.
