Telegram Passes The 100 Million Active Monthly Users Milestone

During the course of the Mobile World Congress, we saw the release of quite a number of flagship devices from different brands. During the course of same event, Telegram announced a new milestone has been set.

The company announced that its mobile messaging app has passed the 100 million monthly active users.

Sometime in march 2014, Telegram announced that it’s app had reached over 35 million active users and apparently, slow and steady seems to have won the company another huge milestone.

telegram now used by over 100 million users monthly

While the 100 million active monthly users record could be such a huge deal, it isn’t close to the growth of it’s major rival, WhatsApp. Some couple of weeks back, Facebook-owned messaging service, WhatsApp, announced that it had reached over 1 billion monthly users milestone. Same day with GMail.

Telegram CEO, Pavel Durov, also disclosed that users across over 200 countries use telegram in sending over 15 billion messages everyday. He also added that over 350,000 new users join the train daily.

While Telegram could be the next big thing? Unlike WhatsApp, Telegram is packed with a while lot of privacy features. Users can set self destruct timers on secret chats, communications are encrypted end-to-end amongst others. So, if you are so much concerned about privacy, Telegram is actually the way to go.

Few weeks back, a new update was launched which brought about some new features on the telegram app. From more enhanced privacy controls to a new photo editor embedded in it. Other features were also brought in place thereby making the app more conducive.

  • Mr Sam, my frnds infinix zero 2 wich I explained largely last week revived after charging thru out today and is now being charged wif my laptop. I rili don’t understand if the battery is supposed to increase or not cus it’s still like it’s dead, displaying red. If turned on, it displays the recovery mode indicating reboot system, backup, power off and use volume keys to move e.t.c. I must confess, m confused and don’t know how to proceed. I can’t initiate the flashing process cus the fone wasn’t being detected on the sp flash tool wich was used to update hot note and my zero 2 to lollipop and again is the battery supposed to ave attained a moderate charge before flashing bcus it’s still on red when charging. Pls help ASAP. Thanks

    • Yes Desmond, the battery needs to be fully charged or charged to over 50% before commencing the flashing process. Try using an original charger if it seems as though your laptop isn’t charging it properly.

P.S: Further questions in relation to this issue should please be done on it’s respective post and not just any post. Thank you.
