Chinese smartphone manufacturing brand, Huawei, is set to launch two smartphones known as Nova and Nova Plus. The announcement was made at Berlin’s IFA conference.
Both smartphones are being said to be mid-range smartphones and are geared towards beating the mid-range smartphone competition.
Huawei Nova and Nova Plus Specs:
Both the Huawei Nova and the Nova plus will feature the following specs:
- Snapdragon 625 chip
- 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM expandable up to 128GB
- Dual Sims (Micro and Nano)
- Fingerprint reader
- USB-C port
- Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI (Emotion UI) 4.4.
While the Nova will come shipped with 12MP f/2.2 back camera and 8MP f/2.0 front camera, the Nova plus will feature a 16-megapixels camera with optical image stabilization.
The Nova features a 5.0inch display with pixels per inch (PPI) of 443 while the Nova plus features a 5.5inch FHD display.
On the battery side, the Nova will come packed with a 3,020mAh battery while the bigger brother will be packing a bigger 3,340mAh battery.
Both smartphones will be crafted in Aluminum and will be available in different colors including Titanium Gray, Mystic Silver, and Prestige Gold.
However, both devices will be available in Rose Gold color which will only be available in selected territories. BTW, Huawei’s CEO, Richard Yu, describes the Rose Gold color as being a ‘Lady Color‘. True?
Both smartphones will be available by October and will come with a price tag of $445 and $480 for the Nova and Nova Plus respectively. Huawei will be launching both smartphones in 50 territories, including France, Germany, Canada, Spain and as you likely expected, China.
