NTel 4G LTE Network Speed Test On Tecno Camon C9

The Tecno Camon C9 Android phone and nTel network service in Lagos, Nigeria are not new. Hence, I know this is a bit late. But, it’s better to be late than never right? Please, accept my apologies.

I finally had time to get the nTel 4G LTE SIM a couple of weeks back, but courtesy of the fact that I had an ongoing subscription on glo plus the NTEL network at my location wasn’t displaying any network bar, I was too reluctant to intensively try.

Glo hasn’t been all nice lately. Although this isn’t new, it seem to have gotten worse. Maybe because of the congestion. I mean, with just N1000, you get 3.2GB data for a month on the glo network. No other GSM network operator in Nigeria beats that.

Since glo has been seriously messing up during the day, I decided to take the bull by the horn. I finally gave nTel a shoot despite the fact that it doesn’t display any network bar at my location.

NTEL 4G LTE SIM works on Tecno Camon C9

Yes! For those asking / wondering whether or not nTel 4G LTE SIM works on the Tecno Camon C9 phone, it does.

Having cleared that out of the way, let’s move on to the test.

NTel 4G LTE network speed test on Tecno Camon c9

As earlier stated, nTel’s network strength is very weak at my location. Although it displays the network as well as the 4G sign, it doesn’t display any network bar. See screenshots below of the first test below:

As you can see from the screenshot above, nTel still performs pretty Okay despite the fact that there isn’t a rather weak network strength.

However, as seen in the screenshot above, the speed tend to decrease whenever the hotspot is turned on and data is being tethered to any device that supports wireless connection.

NTel 4G LTE Data Plans

Currently, nTel only has 3 basic plans – a 2 day plan, weekly plan and a monthly plan.

The 2 day plan cost N1000 while the weekly plan costs N3000. The monthly plan on the other hand, costs N10,000.

While that may seem quite expensive, nTel currently offers unlimited data on all data plans. Hence, if you have a very good nTel network reception at your location, with N10,000 monthly, you don’t need DSTV.
