The smart phone is being tagged as the world’s first 6.2 inch FHD + top-notch smart phone. Although this looks very much like the younger brother, there are noticeable differences in the specs.
Design
The UMIDIGI Z2 pro features a ceramic overall body and is covered in glass. What that means is, other than featuring ceramic material, it comes with glass finishing.
This adds an extra touch of elegance to the feel and the device is available in different gradient colors. As we know, gradients tend to speak premium especially when added to a smart phone design feel.
You have a well-rounded corners with a notch. The notch is every similar to what we have on the iPhone X. As a matter of fact, the front design has the iPhone X design written all over it.
In terms of dimensions, this measures 8.3mm in thickness and weighs 165g thus making it one of the lightest phones in the market today.
The Z2 pro is available in different gradient color variants. Buyers can choose between twilight, phantom and black colors. Whichever rocks your boat and is available in the store you choose to purchase from.
Display
The UMIDIGI Z2 pro display is a 6.2 inch display with 1080 x 2246 resolution described as FHD+. This device clearly has a noticeable notch which house the front dual cameras as well as the sensors.
The screen to body ration is 90% thus making it feel like an almost bezel less device. The notch however, although slightly smaller in most modern phones, UMIDIGI went with a more noticeable one as seen on the iPhone X.

The Digi Z2 pro under the hood, is powered by a Helio P60 Octa-core processor from MediaTek. The P60 processor is a 64 bit CPU architecture.
The 8-Cores of processor here, reaches a fast clock speed of 2.0GHz with 12nm FinFET process technology. For graphics, ARM Mali F72 MP3 graphics processor, is on board.
This device runs on a 6GB RAM with internal storage of 128GB. Now, you would agree with me that, that’s a lot of internal memory for a smart phone. The 6GB RAM is meant to handle multitasking with a memory speed of over 1GHz.
Not only does the device packs 128GB internal storage memory, this can be further expanded to 256GB using external SD card.
In terms of software, the UMIDIGI Z2 pro runs Android 8.1 Oreo with stock Android out of the box.
Camera
In the camera department, the UMIDIGI Z2 pro features 16MP + 8MP back camera. The samsung cameras can effortlessly record the details of view and instantly capture the fleeting moments of fun.
The camera also feature AI which can learn and decide about information of any kind when taking shots. This way, the Z2 pro camera can capture incredible blur-free, handheld shots in low-light.
The dual cameras on the UMIDIGI Z2 uses an S5K2P7 rear camera sensor, with an aperture of F/1.7, and a large optical format 1/1.28″ to help take gorgeous photos in all situations, day and night.
In law man’s voice, the picture quality on the UMIDIGI Z2 pro is said to be really good and can deliver crispy looking shots. Even under low lightning environment.
The front features a 16.0MP + 8.0MP shooter with an aperture of f/2.0. Other camera features includes selfie countdown, face recognition and identification (Face ID), panorama, low light enhancement, burst mode. Interesting, the UMIDIGI Z2 pro can record 4K videos.
Battery
In the battery department, the device packs 3550mAh nonremovable Li-Po battery. This also have fast and wireless charging technology. How cool is that?!
Depending on usage, this can conveniently last you for a while day. With the fast charging technology, with just about 15 minutes charge, the battery can last the whole day. This however, depends on usage.
As earlier mentioned, there is also support for wireless charge. Not comfortable with having to remove the protective casing just to charge? Place the device on a wireless charging pad and you are good to go.
NFC – Android Pay
Other than the prominent features talked about above, the umidigi also features some other cool features.
One is NFC. The Z2 pro supports functional NFC where Android pay and bus-payments can be used. If you understand how this works, then you are on track with the Z2 pro.
